Welcome to The Inn at Mallard Cove!

An English Tudor style waterfront bed and breakfast, The Inn at Mallard Cove is located on fourteen heavily forested acres near Olympia, WA.

Secluded and peaceful, the inn is the perfect place to enjoy a romantic getaway or relax after a day’s work in the local area.

Expect to be awed by views of the snow-capped Olympic Mountains, the glassy smooth waters of Puget Sound, and the wildlife populating the cove after which the inn is named.

Innkeepers Linda and Don have made the inn a warm, “feel-good” place to rest and enjoy life at a comfortable tempo that is all too rare in today’s busy world.

Spend the day roaming nature trails, gardens, and private beach or relax indoors in a quiet English Country home filled with antiques, books, and comfortable chairs in which to read, write, or doze.

If you must work during your stay, you will find the inn to be peaceful, fertile ground for creative activity. Fireplaces and inviting sitting areas are plentiful, both in your guest room and in our downstairs common rooms. Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is available.

But why not paddle a kayak or walk the beach instead? Spend your day paddling South Sound waters or walking the shoreline, surrounded by breathtaking, panoramic views of Mount Rainier to the east and the Olympics to the west!

Innkeeper’s Corner:
Summer is a special time for kayakers and nature lovers who visit Mallard Cove. This is Harbor Seal pup season at the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge. The best way to see them is from one of our kayaks, guided by your innkeepers, on a tour, which is free to registered guests. We know the best times and tide levels to see the pups on shore, breast-feeding from their mothers, or learning to fish in the waters of Nisqually Reach. Be sure to ask for this when you reserve!
